 Color Project part 2 lighting:
Depth of Field:
The depth of field varies throughout the four pictures. In the top right picture of Lindsay there is a medium to shallow depth of field. Things are really clear close up. You can see the details in here face and hand a lot, however, the trees in the far distance seem to get a little blurry. This same type of depth of field is used in both of the pictures of Chelsie, Her body/face is clear, but as you start to move back the trees get slightly  out of focus. The picture of the American flag in the lower right corner has a deeper depth of field then the other pictures.  That whole picture seem to be clear and in focus.

Exposure:
All of these pictures were taken with about the same exposure. However, in photoshop I did some changes with the lighting and brightness which gave the picture a different exposure effect. By making the pictures darker it gave the look of a lower exposure level. I think this enhanced the look of my photos and made the blue lighting stand out.

Lighting:
The lighting was one of the main elements of these pictures. I choose to take them in natural lighting on a pretty cloudy grey day. The bluish light really shown through in the images. By enhancing the color in photoshop it really made the images pop and gave them a cool vibe. I really light how the blur lighting stands out in my images.

Lines:
There are many different lines throughout these images. One is found in the left handed image of Chelsie. The line of the shore leading back draws the looker into the image. Another line found in the lower right image creates a really good use of the rule of thirds. This creates a really could composition. A final line I thought stood out was the horizon line in the top right image. This line helps divide the picture up and makes for an interesting image.

Color:
There are a couple different elements to the coloring in these images. The blue lighting really stands out in all the images. This use of color creates an interesting realistic color scheme. The red also stands out in these images. I thought this was kind of symbolic because it went along with a red, white, and blue, American theme. A final color that I thought popped in the images was the green of the grass.

Composition:
Rule of thirds was definitely the main compositional element in these images. In the center lower picture and the top right picture her face helps split up the rule of thirds. In the main picture of Chelsie her body makes a good composition being all the way on the left side. On the picture of the flag of course the pole and the flag make up the rule of thirds.

Depth of Field:

This picture was taken very close up at a microscopic level. Therefore the picture cam out really clear. It has a nice sharp focus. This means that the picture has a deep depth of field. This adds to the picture because of parts of it would have been blurring it would have taken away from the image and made things distant. I like that this shot has a clear deep depth of field.

Exposure:

For this picture since it was the hdr image it combined different exposed  images. I used one that was under exposed, one over exposed, and one with normal exposure. Over all I like the exposure in this image. I changed the lighting in the picture to make things more interesting. This changed the overall look of the exposure of the image. However I like the editing and think it improves the exposure of the image.

Lighting: 

I toke this picture outside. Therefore, the picture has a nice look of natural lighting. In photoshop I changed the lighting so that it was darker outside of the heart and lighter inside. I like the look that this gives to the image. I think it helps improve the image and create more interesting lighting. 

Lines:

Theres a couple differnt lines that are in this picture. The main lines are of course the lines of the that the stones make to creat the heart. I think thse lines help draw the looker into the picture and see the heart. The other lines that I like in this picture are the lines on the stone out lining the heart, alond the edge of the picture. I think these lines help improve the image because they creat a frame for the picture and draw the looker into the image to see the heart.

Color:

The coloring of this image was actually hard to get write. Without editing the photo looked flat and blah. The only colors were the greys of the stones and dusty browns and reds. After, creating higher contrast and vibrance the image seems to come to life more. The colors of the leaves between the main stone pop out and the dusty redish brown has more color and life. Over all the realistic coloring and improvements i did in photoshop really helped create a great image.

Composition:

I used some differnt types of compostional elements throughout this image. For example one techinque that I created in photoshop was the use of light and dark. I created this by making the outer area of the heart darker while focusing the lighter areas in the center. This helped improve the image becasue the lookers eye naturally goes to the lighter parts of the image, in this case the heart. Another compostional element that I used was finding a clear center of interest. You can obviously see that the main center of interest is the heart.

Composite Assingment

Composite 
Depth of Field and Focus
For this assignment I combined multiply pictures to create one cohesive composited image. For the pictures of the my sister she was usually the center focus of the image with a slightly blurred background. Most of these pictures had a medium to shallow depth of field. However the main background picture and the pictures I toke in the field I used a deep depth of field. In these landscape pictures everything came out clear. For the flowery skyline I toke those pictures really close up. All of these microscopic photos came out very sharp. So those pictures had a deep depth of field as well. The entire collage, with all the pictures together, came out sharp and in focus.  


Exposure
Exposure is the amount of light that has exposed the images sensor. All of my pictures were taken on an auto mode exposure. Overall I like the exposure that my pictures have. I think that they have a good balance of light and depth of field. Next time I think I will try and change the exposure to create a different picture and make my pictures better.

Lighting 
The lighting in my pictures was different throughout. On all my pictures I used natural lighting and was mostly back lighting. Since I toke some of my pictures out side at the beginning of the day those ones were exposed to a lot more light then some of the ones I toke in the field. In the field pictures their were more clouds blocking the natural light. This gave a darker shadow to those pictures rather then the ones I toke earlier. To even the balance of light I had to play around in photo shop to darken and lighten different pictures. Overall I like how the lighting was in my picture.  

Lines
I tried to use lines to the best of my ability when taking these pictures. My main line in the background picture would be the horizon line.This the line splitting the area of the trees and the field with the sky. I think this line improves the image because it helps focus on the center image of the girl. However, it also helps the reader find the flowers in the sky.

Color 
The coloring in my picture vary through out the image. For example, in the sky with the flowers there is muted bright shades of pinks, purples, yellows, and greens. These vibrant colors show through in the girls skirt and her outfit. I like also like the vibrance that it pops on the muted background on the field. I think that this makes the pictures interesting and improves the overall look.


Composition
When taking the pictures on the flowers, the composition was filling the frame with the image, since these images were microscopic. Most of the images separately that I toke of the girl were all centered. However in the background image I used the rule of thirds putting the girl on the right side of the image. Looking at the composite as a whole I like how i used rule of thirds by putting all the girls leading up on the left side. I find it interesting that they seem to go back farther each time. Almost as if the girl is walking back wards towards the field.
